Surely you know China is main origin of Kaolin. Compared with those in The United States, United Kingdom, our raw kaolin is much closer to the theoretical standard kaolin in chemical component and crystal structure.
At present, we recommend two series of calcined Kaolin as follows:
DB serial calcined kaolin is widely applied in latex paint, powder coatings. DB serial product is resulted from controlled delamination, calcination and classification. The advantages are high in brightness, strong in covering power, easy to disperse and good in suspension. DB serial calcined kaolin reduces the need for titanium dioxide to achieve covering power and decreases the production cost.
HA serial calcined kaolin is mostly used in the manufacture of coated manila, ivory board, light weight coating paper, case coated board and art paper. The China Pulp and Paper Institute demonstrates in it's application tests that calcined kaolin improves opacitying, absorbency and printing properties by partial substitution of hydrous clay and extends or replaces titanium dioxide and plastic pigment in coating applications.
HA serial calcined kaolin is used in the cathod and anodic electrophoretic paint likewise.
